Birds of Hamble Common

Andrew Balmer lives locally and is a frequent visitor to Hamble Common year round.  His knowledge of birds is extensive but he is particularly interested in the birdlife on the Common and is keen to increase awareness  of the importance of maintaining its historic ecology.  This habitat is now extremely rare and without it a wide range of bird species would be threatened.

Andrew has written an account of the bird of Hamble Common during the seasons and these articles are on the attached pages.
