The frequent bouts of heavy rain recently proved challenging to our efforts to renovate the historic Bofor Anti Aircraft Gun at Hamble Point but it is now complete after 80 hours effort. Removing rust that had accumulated over 3 years was the most challenging which was followed by an anti-rust undercoat and 2 top coats of paint. Eastleigh Borough Council have installed bollards around it to protect it from cars parking nearby and now that it is accessible again we will carry maintenance on an annual basis.
